‘Access Strategy/Rights of Way Improvement Plan’ consultation

Torfaen County Borough Council is aiming to republish its Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) and develop an Access Strategy for Active Travel and access into the countryside.

This consultation is an opportunity for you to give your input and help shape the plan.

You can also attend face-to-face sessions to discuss your experiences of accessing rights of way, any issues, and complete the survey at:

17th September 1pm-3pm Blaenavon World Heritage Centre

19th September 10am-noon Pontypool Leisure Centre

20th September 4pm-6pm Llanyrafon Methodist Church, Cwmbran

SURVEY CLOSES at midnight on Saturday 5th October 2025.

What happens next?

After the survey closes, the feedback received will be considered and a draft of the Access Strategy/Rights of Way Improvement Plan will be produced.

After Christmas, in early 2025 the draft strategy will also be consulted upon. You will be able to give you feedback via this Get Involved page at that time. Thank you.
