What is the vision for the Placemaking Plan?

By 2034, Cwmbran Town will be an economically significant hub that spreads prosperity throughout the Borough & the region: an exemplar for sustainable and inclusive growth and community wellbeing driven by local and foundational businesses.

The town centre will have diversified to include a wider mix of uses – residential, community, health, food and leisure – across both the daytime and night-time economy.

Cwmbran will become more connected to the wider Cardiff Capital Region with sustainable transport which encourages modal integration.

Investment in green infrastructure will have created a more attractive town centre that is environmentally resilient and drives our net zero carbon ambitions.
