A series of improvements have been made to the Council’s cemeteries service following an internal review and public survey in 2024 These include the installation of noticeboards in all cemeteries, improving advice and information available online, and using staff more flexibly across the Council’s Environment Operations (Streetscene) teams to respond to fluctuating demand more effectively and ensure good standards of grounds maintenance and continuity of service. Meetings have taken place with funeral directors and visitors, as part of a collaborative approach, in line with the Torfaen Deal, to explore opportunities to work together to improve dialogue and information sharing, and to enhance the overall cemeteries environment.
The Council is committed to continual improvement and would welcome your feedback to help ensure the service continues to meet the needs of residents.
