Are you renting a home from a private landlord in Torfaen?
We’d like to hear about your experiences of living in the private rented sector by taking part in a short, anonymous survey.
The private rented sector in Torfaen is smaller than other local authorities in Wales, with only 11% of households privately renting compared to 24% living in social housing.
With demand for affordable housing continuing to rise, we want to ensure that private renting in Torfaen is as accessible, fair, and supportive as possible.
We know that private renters can face challenges such as affordability and security, and we want to better understand these issues from your perspective.
Your feedback will help shape a new five‑year Private Rented Sector Strategy and improve the support available to private tenants in Torfaen.
The consultation runs from 6th March to 10th April 2026.
