During the Covid pandemic, volunteers and organisations across the borough mobilised to provide local services to support vulnerable members of their communities, building upon existing community networks.
Some of those groups still exist and have an in-depth understanding of the strengths and needs of their local communities.
We’re developing a new approach to service delivery that:
Understands the needs of individual communities.
Focuses on wellbeing and the early identification and prevention of issues that impact wellbeing.
Better aligns council services with existing community-based provision.
Supports and develops community-based organisations and services.
