Love Pontypool

Update: The Community Action Day is due to take place in Pontypool as part of the Towns Together scheme towards the end of September.

Volunteers are invited to meet outside the Lower Crane Street entrance to Pontypool Indoor Market from 9am on Saturday to help clean and weed areas in Crane Street and The Link, Commercial Street and George Street. It follows work by council teams to cut back larger sections of overgrowth and sweep streets as part of a new Towns Together programme, which will see council teams, businesses, residents, volunteer groups and partners work together to identify and improve town centres.

In August, we asked which area of Pontypool town centre you would like to see cleaned up.

As part of the Pontypool Towns Together project we want to work together with community members to help make Pontypool town centre better, cleaner and safer.

This will see areas of the town centre targeted for a clean up.

To get things started, we would like your feedback to help us prioritise the work.

What will happen after we have your suggestions?

Following a deep clean by Torfaen Council’s Streetscene team, community groups, volunteers and council staff will join forces later this summer to complete the clean up of the selected area.
