We have secured funding to improve the Cwmbran outdoor gym alongside the North Fields footpath (central recreation area), near the Olive Tree Club in Croesyceiliog.
The cost of the work would be paid for by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.
This short survey, which is open until 5pm Friday 22nd March, asks your opinions about the existing outdoor gym and what you'd like to see in the future. Please have a read of the information below and complete the survey. Thank you.
ABOUT THE OUTDOOR GYM PROJECT:
The gym equipment was installed more than a decade ago and includes nine exercise stations (some of which can be seen in the main photographs above), including stations suitable for wheelchair users.
It would cost a comparable amount to service and repair the existing equipment as it would to buy new equipment. The new equipment could be installed at the current location or in a different area nearby. Take a look at the maps supplied of North Fields and South Fields, to see the area of potential sites (marked by a red box).
Please let us know which option you prefer in the short questionnaire before. The consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 22nd March.
