Croesyceiliog School Uniform Consultation

Closed 4 Feb 2019

Opened 23 Jan 2019

Results expected 4 Mar 2019

Feedback expected 4 Mar 2019

We are considering changing the school uniform to coincide with the move to our new school in September 2019. We would like our uniform to reflect our ambitious outlook for our pupils, and the aspirations of the pupils to be the best that they can be in all aspects of their school life.  We have received feedback from pupils, parents and teachers that our current school uniform may not be as aspirational or smart as other local schools, such as St Albans, Cwmbran High, Bassaleg School and Caerleon Comprehensive . Therefore we are seeking your views on suggested changes for September 2019.

The traditional blue and gold crest of the Croesyceiliog uniform is part of the history of the school and the intention is to keep the school logo and these colours.

The proposal is that a blazer is introduced to replace the existing branded jumper, and whether a summer uniform choice is retained for the summer term.

Please note that if a uniform change is agreed, it would be optional for pupils starting year 11.

The whole school community will be involved in this consultation.

Why We Are Consulting

We want to know the views of the whole school, and we welcome your comments as parents.  The school Pupil Council will be working with us to gather the views of the pupils.
